5 Stone Buildings is the ‘go-to set for complex trusts and estates work’ and ‘a superlative set of excellent lawyers whose expertise is beyond doubt

Gemma joined 5 Stone Buildings as a tenant in October 2026, having successfully completed pupillage in chambers under the supervision of Francis Ng, Sam Chandler, Alexander Drapkin, Mathew Roper, and Thomas Entwistle.

During pupillage, Gemma gained experience in a wide range of chambers’ practice areas including trust, probate and estate disputes, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, Court of Protection proceedings and tax disputes.

Gemma also has experience advising on non-contentious matters, including the construction of trusts and wills, and the taxation of trusts.

Gemma welcomes instructions in all of chambers’ practice areas.

Gemma received a distinction on the GDL and was awarded a Lord Denning Scholarship by Lincoln’s Inn. Prior to pupillage, Gemma spent one year as a tax assistant in the private client tax team at Blick Rothenberg and over two years as a senior paralegal in the Trust and Probate team at Stewarts Law LLP.
