5 Stone Buildings is the ‘go-to set for complex trusts and estates work’ and ‘a superlative set of excellent lawyers whose expertise is beyond doubt

Emma joined 5 Stone Buildings as a tenant in October 2025, having successfully completed pupillage in chambers under the supervision of Francis Ng, Mathew Roper, Luke Harris and Alexander Drapkin.

During pupillage, Emma gained experience in a wide range of practice areas including trust, probate and estate disputes, 1975 Act and proprietary estoppel claims, Court of Protection proceedings, and claims involving personal property and conversion.

Emma also has experience in drafting trusts and associated deeds as well as advising on non-contentious matters, including the construction of trusts and wills, and the taxation of trusts.

Emma welcomes instructions in all of chambers’ practice areas.

Emma has a first-class undergraduate degree in Law and completed the Bar Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, having been awarded an Exhibition Scholarship by Inner Temple. Before starting pupillage, Emma spent over a year working in the Trust, Estate and Inheritance Disputes team at Withers LLP.
