Open for Business – CoVID-19 Update

We would like to assure our clients that we have swiftly moved to remote working and are open for business despite the unique challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Reception, clerks, and members can all be contacted by telephone and email as usual. Members have already attended Court hearings, mediations and client conferences remotely by telephone and secure videolink (including via Skype and Zoom). We are therefore able to continue to offer the full range of contentious and non-contentious services to our clients.

We would like to thank our clerks and staff in particular for their extraordinary efforts to achieve this.

We are conscious that for many instructing solicitors, accountants and other professionals, the working environment may have become more challenging as a result of fee earners becoming unwell, having to self-isolate, being disrupted while transitioning to home working and/or having to care for nursery and school age children at home.

If professionals – private client solicitors and accountants in particular – require extra capacity, we are able to provide both urgent and ongoing assistance with all contentious and non-contentious work in our areas of expertise, including will or trust drafting, trusts and estates litigation, tax advice, and Court of Protection work. Members have previous experience of entering into remote secondments or consultancy arrangements at professional firms as well as providing services under our traditional model.

During this time we would ask all solicitors, accountants and other instructing agents to send documents electronically. If you wish to send hard copy documents please email the clerks at clerks@5sblaw.com or call 0207 242 6201
