5 Stone Buildings is proud to continue our commitment to ‘Support Through Court’.

At 5 Stone Buildings, we are committed to making a meaningful difference to those facing court alone. That is why we are proud to have partnered with Support Through Court for the past three years, and to have renewed our commitment for a further three years.

Support Through Court provides a safe and welcoming environment for individuals navigating the court system without legal representation. Through its trained volunteers, the charity offers both practical and emotional support at what is often an extremely challenging time. Volunteers help clients organise their thoughts, identify next steps, understand court procedures, complete forms, access reliable legal information, and prepare to present their case clearly and confidently.

Working alongside legal clinics and other third-sector organisations, Support Through Court also helps clients access specialist legal advice and additional assistance, including support relating to domestic abuse, housing and other complex issues.

Last financial year, more than 1,000 volunteers supported individuals on over 45,000 occasions, providing assistance both in person and remotely via the National Helpline and online service. In doing so, the charity not only supports litigants in person but also contributes to the effective functioning of the wider justice system.

We are delighted to support through Court’s Guardians Network a community of philanthropic individuals and organisations committed to improving access to justice for the most vulnerable members of society. Their collective commitment is making a tangible and lasting difference to thousands of litigants in person navigating the court system without representation.

The members of 5 Stone Buildings are proud to support their valuable work.
