Mr Justice Newey has reserved judgment in Prudential Staff Pensions Ltd v Prudential Assurance Co Ltd, which concerns the validity of Prudential’s decision to change its long-standing policy on granting inflation-linked pension increases in its staff pension scheme. Andrew Simmonds QC and Joseph Goldsmith act for the Claimant trustee. The hearing of the matter, which lasted several weeks, began on 17 January.
